ISLAMABAD – Pakistan advanced three slots in the Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index 2013, compiled by the World Economic Forum (WEF), the Express Tribune reported March 7. The South Asian country now ranks 122nd out of 140 countries, compared to 125th in the previous survey two years ago.
Pakistan improved in human resources and availability of qualified labour. It declined in policy rules and regulations and prioritisation of travel and tourism, the report said.
